Location: All workshops held at Melrose Middle School, 360 Lynn Fells Parkway
Stipend: Stipends of $150 for participants are available for those who complete the required assignments of the session. Stipends are limited to the first 20 participants in each session. A required follow-up session will be scheduled for the fall of 2015.

Audience: Grade 5-12 Facilitators: Mike Kozuch, Director, Global Communities Program, Newton South Laurie Block, Disability History Museum Graham Warder, Keene State |
Participants will work with primary sources, including
Library of Congress resources, to gain content
knowledge and specific sources to use on grade-
specific topics surrounding both disability history and
LGBTQ history. Teacher teams will develop primary
source-based lessons. In the fall, teachers teach the
lesson, reflect on it, and revise it based on student
work.

Participants will work with primary sources, including
Library of Congress resources, to gain content
knowledge and specific sources to use on grade-
specific topics surrounding the use of maps as a
primary source at the elementary level. Teacher
teams will develop primary source-based lessons. In
the fall, teachers teach the lesson, reflect on it, and
revise it based on student work.

elementary social studies curriculum. Teacher
teams will develop primary source-based lessons. In
the fall, teachers teach the lesson, reflect on it, and
revise it based on student work.
